Our Strengths

Manufacturing Philosophy and Quality Assurance

We aim to establish a quality assurance system for all processes to "provide high-quality, reliable products that satisfy our customers."

Quality management conceptual diagram

① Parts internal/external production review

Based on specifications and other requirements, we review whether to produce in-house within the Muramoto Group or purchase from suppliers. For in-house production, we design processes for part manufacturing. For purchasing, we review the supply chain based on customer requirements, including paid customer-supplied materials, procurement agency, and independent procurement.

② Assembly process design/construction

We design processes based on planned quantities and other requirements.
Our process design concept includes eight elements: 3S, complete processes at each stage, one-piece flow, +30% capacity assurance, visualization (flow lines and abnormalities), stable work, in-house jig production, and poka-yoke implementation, aiming to create stable processes.

③ Determination of delivery location and format

We review the delivery format, including which country and location to deliver to, and in what units and frequency.

※ When reviewing packaging specifications, we consider earthquake resistance, load bearing capacity, and other factors to propose optimal packaging specifications.

④ Production preparation activities

Japan Head Office and overseas subsidiaries work together to conduct production preparation activities.

  1. We classify into 3 ranks according to novelty and difficulty level, and adjust the intensity of corresponding measures.
  2. From order confirmation to initial mass production flow, we divide the period into 3 steps, setting goals and confirming achievement for each step.
  3. We create working groups for each function such as mounting, assembly, and logistics, and implement production preparation activities by working group.
  4. We also respond to audits by final users such as automotive manufacturers.

⑥ Mass production activities

We manage production triggered by purchase order information, and respond flexibly to production fluctuations by agreeing with customers on change points such as design changes and quantity fluctuations, and appropriately managing changeovers. We also implement continuous improvement activities led by local staff at overseas subsidiaries to achieve long-term stabilization of mass production quality and rationalization after mass production transition.
